About District Library (Panchkula)

Sub Divisional Library Panchkula established in the year 1986 in community centre sec-7, Panchkula. It is upgraded in District library Panchkula Since 2007 in Shishu Greh Sec – 15, Panchkula. Now it is shifted in Community Centre, Sec-11, Panchkula. It is enriched with an extensive variety collection of 24263 Books in different languages like Hindi, English, Punjabi, and Urdu on different subjects like Social science, literature, education, cooking, yoga, sports as well a good collection of reference books and has subscribed to 05 newspapers and 6 magazines. The library has 911 active members and it charges Rs 500 for a lifetime membership. Library serves approximately 40-50 daily readers/visitors on daily basis and has a sitting capacity of 50 people at a time. Library remains open for the public from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM on all working days except Fridays, the last Saturday of the month, and public holidays.
